Because several providers are outside Australia, your information may be stored or processed overseas. We choose providers that commit to standard data-protection safeguards.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people at our events.

4. Marketing email

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional emails, such as your sign-up confirmation, a membership receipt or a reply to your enquiry, are sent even if you have unsubscribed from marketing, because they are part of the service you asked for. To stop all email, write to info@hfc.global.

5. Cookies and analytics

hfc.global sets no cookies of its own. It keeps a small note in your browser’s local storage of the ad or link that brought you here: your first visit and your latest visit from a tagged link (campaign tags, an ad click ID, the address of the site you came from, the page you landed on, and when). It is used for 30 days so a sign-up can record where it came from, and you can clear it with your browser’s site data. Where we have enabled analytics or advertising tags (Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel), those tools set cookies to measure visits and to show HFC advertising to people who visited the site. You can block these through your browser settings, through the opt-out tools those companies provide, or by using a browser that blocks tracking. Blocking them does not affect any part of the site.

6. How long we keep it

7. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. If you are in the UK or EU you can also ask us to restrict or stop processing, object to marketing, or receive a copy of your data in a portable form, and you can complain to your local data-protection authority. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email info@hfc.global and we will respond within 30 days.

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, contact us first so we can put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions go straight to our providers over encrypted connections, and payment details are handled entirely by Stripe (memberships) and Shopify (merchandise), both PCI DSS Level 1 providers. Access to our records is limited to the people who need it to run HFC.

9. Children

HFC events are all-ages, but the website and membership are intended for people aged 16 or over. If you believe a child under 16 has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We will update this policy as the championship grows. The date at the top tells you when it last changed. Material changes will be announced to members by email.
