Each machine is piloted live by a trained human operator — think drone racing, but the drone is a full-size humanoid with AI-assisted balance and reflexes. The skill of the pilot is part of the sport.
Yes. Armour panels crack, servos fail, machines go down. Corner teams repair between rounds — damage and downtime feed the judges’ scoring. It’s why there is never a second first.
The bouts happen inside the Aether Arena — a purpose-engineered octagonal enclosure with full-height impact shielding, designed and built specifically for humanoid combat under a comprehensive safety plan with the venue.
